In the wake of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary, it's easy to feel helpless. What can we do? There is no way for families to bring back their loved ones, and there is no way to keep the community from the horror of what happened. Of course, there are people across the nation arguing for and against gun control laws, for more legislation, but in the end there is still Newtown, Connecticut. How can we help them?
There have been several pages on Facebook and other websites with ways to donate to the community, the school, or the families. Here is a site with just a few of the ways to donate.
However, there is another way to help the Newtown community that's been circulating the web. Parent-volunteers in Newtown are working to create a winter wonderland at Sandy Hook Elementary, and they are looking to decorate the building with as many snowflakes as possible! If you would like to make paper snowflakes for Sandy Hook Elementary, you can send them to the address below by January 12, 2013. I'm not the best snowflake maker, but the ones I made for Sandy Hook are above!
