"In the US alone, as many as 2 million youth experience a period of homelessness and every year over 5,000 of these young people lose their lives on the street."
I can't help but wonder how something like this happens in such a wealthy and generally generous country where Americans give freely to people and organizations all over the world, but the problem is that people just don't know about it.
That's why I lit a candle here, to spread the word about youth homelessness in the United States. 2 million youth? Imagine how much better we could be as a country if we gave these young people the opportunity to succeed!
So light a candle and spread the word!
