DIFFICULTY: Easy
"In the next 33 seconds, someone will have a heart attack."
During my sophmore year of high school, I had to become CPR certified along with the rest of my grade. Most of us kind of joked about it because, naturally, we didn't think we were ever going to be in a situation where we need to use CPR. But then you look at stories like this one, about a 9 year old boy who saved his younger brother's life using the CPR training he learned over the summer. Pretty impressive, right? And it's not really an inconvenience to learn. It only took a couple classes of practicing CPR on dummies to become certified. A lot of hospitals offer classes, as well as schools and other local organizations. You can even learn about the steps of CPR on websites online (though I imagine taking a class would be better, it was a lot harder to do chest compressions than I thought!). You can even learn it from youtube videos, like the one below!
