DIFFICULTY: Medium
Today's challenge doesn't exactly fall under the health themed posts I've been writing this month, but it's something I recently re-found and really liked. A couple months ago I stumbled upon an organization called Falling Whistles. They're a group that campaigns for peace in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, an area filled with war that involves child soldiers.
I already knew a lot about child soldiers (or so I thought!) from reading Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, which I talked about in earlier posts. However, I definitely learned something new from the video below:

Excerpt from Sean Carasso's journal entry, which started Falling Whistles:
"Captured by Nkunda's rebel army, the boys not big enough to hold a gun are given merely a whistle and put on the front lines of battle.
Their sole duty is to make enough noise to scare the enemy and then to receive-with their bodies-the first round of bullets."
If that doesn't make you wanted to do something, nothing will! You can read the full journal here and buy a whistle or tshirt here. Of course, you can also just donate if you want.
