Today's challenge is to cut out coupons and leave them for someone else to use in the grocery store. This is an easy challenge, almost everyone can find coupons from newspapers! Also, there are always a lot of coupons that you may not use, and why let them expire? It's so easy to leave a few around the items they are meant for the next time you go to the grocery store. So get cutting! :)

DIFFICULTY: Easy I've listed this challenge as easy, but it can also be kind of difficult. Today's challenge is to anonymously grant a wish from someone's amazon's wishlist. You can do this by searching a random name in the search for a wishlist part of the site. If you search really common names, you usually get a lot of results. The difficult part of this is that you want to find someone who has items that they recently put up, because you don't want to give them something that they wanted a few years ago (they may already have it or have decided that they don't want it anymore!). You also need to find someone who has put a "ship to" address with their list so the package can be sent straight to their house. Otherwise you wouldn't know how to get it to them! It can be hard to find someone like this. The good thing, though, is that you don't have to spend a lot of money. Some people have wished for really inexpensive items, including older paperback books that only cost a few dollars! I'm going to add this to the incomplete list until I'm able to find someone! DIFFICULTY: Easy
Today's challenge is to babysit for free to a family that needs it! A lot of young families, with young kids, could always use a break every once and awhile. Also, there are some families that maybe can't afford a babysitter for a few hours and could really use a break without having to worry about their kids or paying the babysitter! This one may take a little while to do because I actually need to find someone to babysit for in the first place! I'll be adding this one to the "Incomplete" section, and hopefully I'll get it done soon! Anyways, I finally found some change for the change pot! It's only 11 cents, but that's still pretty good! ;) Also, four more soda tabs for the count! DIFFICULTY: Easy Today's challenge is to leave encouraging messages in self-help books (or any books!) at book stores. I always thought it'd be fun to be reading a book I just bought and find a note inside of it from someone else, so why not leave a note for someone else? Hopefully I'll be making a trip to a bookstore tomorrow! I'll see if I can post some pictures :) DIFFICULTY: Easy
Today's challenge is another way to help the citizens of Haiti besides donating. Many people in Haiti have lost hope since the earthquake struck, and now it's time to give some back! A local non-profit organization in my community has contacted a relief-worker who will be traveling to Haiti in a few weeks to help rebuild the country. He has agreed to bring and distribute all the cards that we make to the children of Haiti! The cards will say prayers or messages of hope to let the children of Haiti know that they aren't alone and that they should keep hope alive! I'll definitely be making a few of these tonight and over the next two weeks, and I'll try to put some pictures up! :) On a side note, 5 more soda tabs added to the count! Also, I recently received a message from the parents of one of the girls I sent a birthday card to for the Wish Upon a Hero challenge! It was a really nice message saying that she loved her card, and it was very gratifying! :) DIFFICULTY: Easy Today's challenge is to put I Love You cards around town! Unfortunately you actually have to GET the cards first! So I'll be, hopefully, ordering some of those tonight! The main point of these is to just make people smile! And hopefully someone who sees the card will check the site on the card and spread even more of them! On another note, I'm sure anyone reading this would have heard about the earthquake that happened in Haiti! I know a lot of people have already donated, but if you haven't, here are some great places (of course, there are many more that aren't listed!): The American Red Cross Doctors Without Borders Save the Children Another FREE way to donate is to use your twitter account! GivesMeHope.com and Idothat2 have pledged to donate $0.01 for every retweet of THIS post! So if you have a twitter account, there's an easy way to help the people of Haiti. On another side note, here's the picture I promised to put up yesterday! These are the two dogs I made for the Toys! post! DIFFICULTY: Easy
As you know, today is Martin Luther King day! MLK Day has become a national day of giving back, with schools and organizations around the country volunteering their time, talent, and resources to causes across the nation and around the world! My school has several clubs and there are many town organizations that participate by setting up tables in the gym at our middle school. A bunch of people around the town come and volunteer by joining in the activities at each table, which include donating blood, making activity books for children in the hospital, and much more! So today's challenge is to give back by participating in an MLK Day event in your community! Earlier today I helped out by helping put together a Luncheon for the senior citizens in my town. It was a lot of fun, and I got to talk with some of the seniors. It was a great experience! DIFFICULTY: Easy
Today's challenge is to be kind to someone that others aren't usually so nice to. Or, you could always try being extra kind to a stranger you meet in the course of the day! The world could always use a little more kindness. Besides, especially if you're being kind to someone you're usually mean to, or others aren't exactly warm towards, you can really make someone's day. I'm sure they'll appreciate it! :) Also, 4 more soda tabs for the count! And, I've been working on two Scotty dogs from the Day 10 post. I'll put the pictures up tomorrow! DIFFICULTY: Easy
Today's challenge is to support an event going on in the community! Not only does this usually help a local organization, but it also brings members of the community closer together. Not to mention the events are usually really fun! An organization in my community against the use of drugs and alcohol by teenagers. They are hosting a skating party in an ice rink a few towns over, and I've signed up to go! So check out the websites of local organizations or look at the bulletin boards at schools, churches, and libraries. There is a lot more going on in your town than you realize! I'd also like to thank my sister for giving me some change she found as well as box tops and soda tabs for the count! DIFFICULTY: Medium Today's challenge is to make a Squidoo! If you sign up at squidoo.com, you can make something called a lens. A lens is like a website, which, thanks to the different modules and simple set up, is really easy to make! You can make a Squidoo on any topic you choose. It can be on your favorite book or movie. You can use it to share recipes, or to teach someone something new. Every lens has ads on the top and the sides, which the creator of the Squidoo can use to earn revenue. However, the great part about Squidoo is they actually have the option to send all of the proceeds from your site to a charity of your choosing. You can choose from a variety of charities on a long list. I created a Squidoo called "How to Save the World", which has many of the ideas, videos, book recommendations, etc. that you can find on this site, all in one place! It also lists more charities and other resources if you're looking for more to do! I chose to have my Squidoo benefit a foundation called Save the Children. You can check out my site here, and begin building your own here! |
