With Christmas coming in the next few weeks, most of us are thinking about all of the presents we still have left to buy! Even though I love presents as much as anyone, I have to admit that sometimes I forget to focus on what Christmas really means. I tend to get caught up in decorating the Christmas tree, singing carols, and trying to keep up with all of the Secret Santas in my classes at school.
Even though all of that is great, Christmas shouldn't be about how we decorated the tree or what we put under it. It should be about enjoying time with family, giving to others, and simply appreciating life for what it is. This year, why not trying to focus on what you didn't buy?
What I Did Not Buy is a website that allows you to turn what you didn't buy into something good for another person! You can go to their site, enter what you didn't buy this year, and donate the worth of what you didn't buy. The proceeds are donated to BRAC USA, an organization dedicated to alleviating poverty.
Some things others didn't buy this year:
iPod, Sneakers, TV, Jewelry, Video Games, Diamond Ring, Purse, Shoes, Perfume, DVDs, Scarf, Blender, Necklace, Clothes, Jeans, Boots, Camera, Decorations, Skirt, Book, iPhone, Dress, XBox, and more.
Think of the good that all of the money NOT spent on these items has done so far!
