I just finished watching an episode of Boston Med, a really great show if you like medical series! It reminded me of the fact that I've never talked about all of the hours I've listed in the count on the right. Every week, I volunteer at a local hospital. It's a really great experience and we do a lot to make caring for patients a little bit easier. I've actually been volunteering in the nursery this summer, and if you have a certain interest like that, most hospital will let you pick which department you volunteer in. Different positions require more patient interaction than others, but either way it's a great way to give back! One of the things that I love about Boston Med is that it shows the more human side of medicine, which I think a lot of people have started to forget about!
On a completely unrelated note, the company Odwalla has started a Plant a Tree campaign! It's really great because you get to pick up to five states where you'd like to have a tree planted. 172,301 trees have already been planted this year!
